| Position Description: |
The Network Administrator will have experience to manage a medium-sized business network on all levels with emphasis on SQL systems development and management. This includes maintaining and optimizing the network infrastructure of hardware, software and telecommunications equipment and supporting an operations critical SQL database.
CleanScapes operates in a Windows environment, supporting 5 facilities, approximately 80 network users and a mission-critical SQL-based solid waste software solution.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Maintain, troubleshoot and monitor the wide area network (WAN). Ensure WAN performance meets Company and user requirements. Develop and maintain network structure, operations and metrics.
• Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the SQL databases that support company services. Assist with SQL query development as needed.
• Maintain and monitor network security: Firewalls, managing host security, file permissions, , file system integrity, and adding and deleting users. Maintain VPN and remote access systems.
• Manage and execute the backup and disaster recovery plans including 6 month system testing.
• Manage installed base of work stations: Install, configure, and maintain work stations and work station imaging systems. Investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions. Document solutions to recurring help desk issues.
• Track and maintain IT assets and maintain site licenses for departments/company. Maintain, document and manage replacement schedule for hardware and software. Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment and software.
• Maintain and monitor secure and standard FTP file systems.
• Provide emergency maintenance activities supporting network operations.
• Assist with development of business intelligence applications
Qualifications:
• Minimum of five years experience in a similar role is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
• Experience with Exchange, SQL, and Windows servers and desktop products
• Experience with SQL development
• Demonstrated ability to administer a 80+ node network including firewalls.
• Microsoft certification required.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills
• Great inter-personal, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to work FLEXIBLY, under pressure and to deadlines.
• Experience negotiating and managing hardware/software contracts and vendors.
